Senior Power System Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Power System Engineer to work remotely or hybrid in one of the many office locations around the UK.

The Role - Senior Power System Engineer 

This role has opened due to continued growth, ongoing development and secured projects. 

You will be joining the technology team that operates across a broad range of projects from single renewable energy installations, and onsite generation to multi-GW offshore generation, grid and private projects. 

 

Essential Attributes 

  • Electricity transmission, distribution companies and the Electricity System Operator in the UK. 
  • UK Grid Code. 
  • Practical experience conducting detailed power system studies including load flow, short circuit analysis, and EMT.
  • Understanding, communicating, and analysing energy regulatory framework. 
  • Commercial awareness of the energy industry. 
  • Full lifecycle of the regulatory framework for connecting of renewable projects to the grid for both Transmission and Distribution projects.
  • DigSilent - PowerFactory.
  • Degree Electrical or Mechanical engineering).

 

Desirable Attributes 

  • Management and mentoring of graduates
  • Client management and development of longstanding client relationships. 
  • Financial management of projects, meeting strict timelines and budgets 
  • Dealing with Ofgem 
  • Offshore and Onshore renewable and energy sector
