A growing flood risk, water and environment business are are looking to recruit a team member within the flood risk and modelling team after continued success.

Operating a fully remote team with colleagues situated across the country, including London, Birmingham, and Glasgow.

Breaking away from the typical 9 to 5, they embrace a new way of working by offering complete flexibility with the chance for you to set your own hours.

 

About the Role

Opportunities to get involved with a variety of projects, including both public and private sector work. Current projects include flood defences, strategic infrastructure, and private developments.

Become a key member of the existing consulting team, providing support in the delivery of these projects including the production of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies. In-house training to allow you to grow into a well-rounded Flood Risk Consultant and explore any specialisms you may be interested in.

​As your career progresses, you will be given opportunities to oversee and manage projects and clients.

 

About You

You will have an enthusiasm to develop their career in the water/environment sector. 

We are looking for someone that is hard-working, well-organised, motivated, enthusiastic, flexible. You will be able to work independently and as part of a distributed team and can communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with colleagues and clients alike.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Geography, Environmental Management, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years industry experience
  • The ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports.
  • Knowledge of the drainage hierarchy and experience in undertaking drainage assessments and design using relevant software.
  • Ability to undertake drainage strategies both outline and detailed.
  • GIS experience using software such as ArcMap, QGIS, or MapInfo.
